100th Anniversary of Hike and Light the Y

This October, join us for one of BYU’s oldest traditions, the annual Hike and Light the Y event! Since 1924, thousands of students and faculty have joined in this tradition during BYU Homecoming week. Connect with the university and each other as you hike, and make sure to say hi to Cosmo!

Parking will be extremely limited at the Y, so please use our FREE SHUTTLE SERVICE starting from the Wilkinson Student Center roundabout at 5:30, with the last shuttle leaving at 7:00. WEAR WHITE!

The first 1,500 participants will receive a 2024 Hike & Light the Y flashlight. Donuts and hot chocolate will be provided afterward at the bottom of the Y.
