Meet at the roundabout east of the Wilkinson Student Center.

Free Shuttle Service begins at 5:30 PM and the last shuttle to the Y will be at 6:45 PM so that you have enough time to hike the Y before the lighting at 7:30 PM.

This October, join us for BYU’s oldest and most enjoyable tradition, the annual Hike and Light the Y event! The first 1,000 participants will receive a 2024 Hike & Light the Y flashlight and a limited edition “I Hiked the Y” sticker. Donuts and hot chocolate will be provided afterward at the bottom of the Y.

Since 1924, thousands of students and alumni alike have participated in lighting the Y every BYU Homecoming. Be the first to the top or enjoy the views as you go, Cosmo can’t wait to see you there!
