Hiking the Y Info & Tips
The hike is moderate difficulty, and hikers should be prepared with proper shoes, water, and a flashlight.
Alumni and friends are invited to take part in a century-long tradition and hike the Y anytime during Homecoming Week, Oct. 6-10. Take a selfie at the top (post it using #HiketheY or send it to us), then come to the Gordon B. Hinckley Alumni and Visitors Center and receive a Hike the Y souvenir pin. The Y will be lit each evening of Homecoming Week. Pin supplies are limited.
